About
Hi, my name is Junjie Chen. I am a research assistant professor in the Department of Real Estate and Construction at The University of Hong Kong. I obtained my PhD in hydraulic engineering from Tianjin University in 2020, and have been visiting researcher at University of Cambridge, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, etc.
My research covers a broad area in construction informatics and built environment: Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Intelligent Compaction, and building and infrastructure inspection.
I am particularly interested in exploiting the low-cost visual assets (dynamic video or static images; virtual renderings or photorealistic) in the AECO industry by the use of advanced machine learning techniques.
